Good food Great service!
PURPLE ONION restaurant is an old timer& good restaurant for breakfasts with the family after church worship. It is a sizable place so the wait is usually not too long. It is not fancy & modern but rather a comfortable spot for a bite to eat. The menu is vast serving everything from shiskkabob, pork chops, skillets and apple fritter pancakes.. Food & service is good along with portion sizes. If you are looking for a budget friendly no frill stop for breakfast or lunch PURPLE ONION r may fit your appetite nicely..
LOVE their creamy garlic salad dressing. Good selection of classic salads, sandwiches, pancakes, omelets, etc.
Dorothy our waitress was awesome. She took our orders and which seemed like minutes our food was being served. She kept checking on us to make sure everything was okay. Would definitely return.
Food is always great, big portions and lots of choices. The owner is super nice and always stops to chat
We never went there in a long time.
Good food. Great rates. Fun with slots, as well.
The food was really fresh, I wasn't expecting it to be that good when there weren't many people parked there. Will definitely go again.
The breakfast is great and the service is very good.
First time customers. Amazing food and Excellent service. I'm glad we decided to go there instead of getting it delivered. I enjoyed the fact you can see your food being prepared.
The Purple Onion has a great Shrimp dinner. Try it sometime. I like their chicken soup. The staff is really good and really friendly. Most all the food is good and reasonable!
A good neighborhood diner. The owner and staff are very very nice.
Been to the PO many times... my favorite is the garlic dressing for my Julienne salad.. Breaskfat is great and healthy portion sizes for all meals...
Open till 9. Tasty food at reasonable prices.
Love this place! Always great service and food!
I've been coming to this place most of my life and have always enjoyed their food. The staff is great and always ready to help. The menu is quite diverse, offering something for all tastes. I honestly can't think of a better place for breakfast in the area. The lunch selection offers sandwiches, paninis and more. Dinner is just as great. If you want to stop by for a quick bite or bring the family for Sunday breakfast, you won't be disappointed.
This spot gives amazing service and delicious food. My favourite spot around here. The drinks and food arrived fast and the prices are affordable. Recommended.
What an great little place to find comfort breakfast. Great service & delicious food
Nice and quiet with a friendly atmosphere. Great for brunch but good at all other times of the day as well! If anyone is familiar with Lea Brothers, the Purple Onion reminds me of when they "used" to be good. Have only been here a handful of times, but each and every time we were greeted and sat immediately. Waiter/waitress was quick to take initial drink orders. Cooks do a good job of getting your food right the first time. Not one complaint about the service or cleanliness. Highly recommend for a quick bite at a full service restaurant!
This is a great place for breakfast. The food is cooked timely and properly and the wait staff is amazing.
GREAT food very clean place.
Great food and atmosphere
Never had a complaint 5 stars in my book. Got to support local businesses like this
Good food, PLENTY OF IT and reasonably priced.
Had a fantastic experience in this spot with my friend. The food comes out quickly and the service is just excellent. Prices are convenient.
Good food and excellent service. The friendly waitstaff are on the ball with refills and anything else you need. The hostess was quite charming and made me feel welcomed. The interior is clean, cozy and well lit. Casual dining at it's finest.
Good food, very consistent experience through the years
Always pleasant waiters every time me we have breakfast there. Food very good also.
Very friendly staff always feel welcomed..
Seems like it was a popular place in the 1970s-1990s. Nothing wrong, just a bit run down and not updated. A little expensive for what you get, but an okay dining experience. Seemed like nice enough people.
Excellent food and service. We loved the Greek half chicken and Greek Orange Roughy fish. We will definitely come back.
Much better than the last time I was there
This restaurant is absolutely one of the best place to eat in the neighborhood. Whenever I go there I am extremely glad. They preserve their high standard service and the topmost level of food they give. You definitely will enjoy this this place. Highly recommended.
Quick service, great food. I got the BBQ ribs with mashed potatoes and a salad. A lot of food for the price and it was delicious. They had so many options to choose from. I don't live around here but if I did this would be a favorite!
Really great food been going there for years nice and quiet dining atmosphere
Fun slots, great burger.
Great place to eat and staff are good at there job.
Been going with my family since I was a toddler. The employees treat you like family and the food is fantastic.
OK food, good salad, great dessert.
This place has first-rate service and delicious menu. The best place in the city. The food and drinks served quick and the rates are reasonable. I recommend this place.
I will never come back to this place. Food was disgusting.
Always good food and good service
The spot is superb and broad, the menu was delicious and the prices were very economical. fast, productive service and very welcoming staff members. I highly recommend this place.
Good food Fast service
Breakfast are okay, lunch and dinner were the worst I ever had at a Greek restaurant. Checks with other locals and all feel the same the quality of food has dropped. Will not be back, George's and Southfork I will go for this style food.
I always come grabbing some food in here. I love the speedy service and well cooked food. Great work.
The food here was not bad--it was quite typical of what one would expect of a family restaurant in a farther suburb. I think that the egg-based dishes were very well-prepared. The eggs were cooked just enough to remain fluffy while still being a little browned (I had an omelet). However, my girlfriend's sandwich had rather drab meat on it. She ordered a turkey panini and the turkey was the lunch meat type of turkey, not the shaved turkey one would likely expect for a 10 dollar sandwich. It was fine, but more disappointing than I remember when I came here years ago.
Service and food are great.
Food is second to none. Been going there over 25 years. Anytime I am back in area I make it a point to go. Never disappointed.
Was Ok 👍, liked the Hot Turkey Plate, Iced Tea & Service - First Timer
